About this event

Learning from our mistakes – a cofferdam that didn’t go quite as planned.

As a trainee engineer it would be expected that a site experience phase would be used to learn execution techniques and to develop theoretical understanding of the engineering being applied.

When things go wrong the process may alter to the critical analysis of the design and execution processes to identify how these might be improved next time.

Mat Aiton RE is a trainee engineer working on a flood relief scheme.

As he works towards his chartered review, he has been presented with several site problems.

He will critically analyse these and explain what he has learned in the process.
