The University of Strathclyde and the British Hydrological Society are pleased to invite you to the 2022 British Hydrological Society Peter Wolf Early Career Hydrologist’s Symposium, which will be hosted by the Centre for Water, Environment, Sustainability & Public Health at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow from 20 to 21 September 2022.
The theme of the 2022 Peter Wolf Symposium will be 'Hydrological Innovation for the Climate Emergency'. It will be a valuable opportunity for early career hydrologists across the country to come together and share their recent work on all areas of hydrology and how it relates to the climate emergency.
The registration fee is for the Symposium and evening dinner/social event only; all other costs, including travel and accommodation, will be at the delegates’ expense.
Registration closes on 9 September 2022
The Symposium will run approximately 0900-1700 GMT over both days (Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 March 2022). It will include a mix of oral and poster sessions from the early career delegates, invited guest speakers, and a site visit. There will also be an evening dinner/social event on Tuesday 22 March (food will be included in the registration fee; drinks will be at the expense of the attendees). A detailed Symposium programme will be provided closer to the event.
We invite early career researchers and practitioners from all areas of hydrology to submit an abstract for an oral or poster presentation. We particularly welcome abstracts that align to the theme of this years’ Symposium: hydrological innovation for the climate emergency.
Abstract submission for an oral or poster presentation opens on 8 September 2021 via https://www.strath.ac.uk/research/subjects/civilenvironmentalengineering/environment/peterwolfsymposium/.
We look forward to welcoming you to Glasgow on 22 March 2022!
Organising committee: Chris White (University of Strathclyde), Michael Cranston (SEPA), Scott McGrane (University of Strathclyde) and Lucy Barker (UKCEH)
